The Gator Magnet can be used two different ways depending on the eyebolt position.
Attach the eyebolt to the side of the magnet to use a dragging method for fishing. Cast the magnet out and drag it flat through the water. The Gator Magnet has a magnet on each side so this increases your chance of landing a find.
Attach the eyebolt to the top of the magnet to use it as a traditional single-sided magnet. The magnetic pull is highest when you fish vertically so it’s best for those heaviest finds and when using a dipping method on a bridge or dock.
Rinse and dry your magnet thoroughly after each use.
Your magnet should be completely dry before packing away to prevent magnet corrosion and to keep it in good condition.
Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight.

"This magnet was noticeably stronger than either of my other two that I purchased from a name brand competitor. This magnet is still stronger and works just as good as it did the day I bought it.”

Pair your GATOR 1300 with the 'Impact Rope – 1680 LB Strength' or 'Impact Rope – 3840 LB Strength'. Equipped with a 1680 lb and 3840 lb breaking strength respectively, these ropes will handle all of your GATOR 1300 finds with ease.
Magnet fishing demands a lot from a rope. And using that old, dusty rope you’ve had for ages in the shed is a good way to quickly lose your magnet! Your rope will be dragged over sharp rocks and will be heaving up waterlogged finds so you need a reliable rope that won’t snap and that’s durable enough to withstand the rough elements. Our Rogue Impact Ropes have been built tough and battle tested by magnet fishers, so you can have peace of mind knowing your heavy finds and magnet are secure.
A Palomar Knot will secure your rope tightly to your magnet and is the preferred knot to tie for many magnet fishers.
Threadlocker is a glue applied to the bolt of your magnet. Without threadlocker, the bolt can rotate and become loose when magnet fishing causing you to lose your magnet. Applying threadlocker keeps your bolt secure so you can sling your magnet with confidence.
Always use caution when handling fishing magnets.
Neodymium fishing magnets are more powerful than other kinds of magnets. The incredibly powerful force between magnets can often be surprising to those unfamiliar with their strength and can cause them to quickly attract together with other magnets or metal objects. Improper handling can cause serious pinching or crushing injury. Wear protective gloves when handling magnets. Never handle more than one magnet at the same time and always keep magnets at least 1.5 meters apart.
Pacemakers and electronic devices such as laptops, credit cards, hearing aids, speakers or other such devices can be adversely affected by strong magnetic fields. People with pacemakers should not handle strong magnets and should keep sufficient distance (1.5 meters). Warn others with pacemakers to keep distance from magnets.
