Durable and tough, the Impact Rope was made to handle your heaviest finds.
Every aspect of this rope was designed with high performance magnet fishing in mind. It features a double-braided, non-elastic construction giving it an exceptionally high breaking force of 3840 lbs. And at 65ft in length, it’s the ideal length for long-range casting.
Don’t lose your magnet with a cheap or elastic rope – with the Impact Rope, you can be confident that your rope is working just as hard as your magnet, throw after throw.
Rope should be completely dry before packing away.

Magnet fishing demands a lot from a rope. And using that old, dusty rope you’ve had for ages in the shed is a good way to quickly lose your magnet! Your rope will be dragged over sharp rocks and will be heaving up waterlogged finds so you need a reliable rope that won’t snap and that’s durable enough to withstand the rough elements. Our Impact Ropes have been built tough and battle tested by magnet fishers, so you can have peace of mind knowing your heavy finds and magnet are secure.
Never underestimate the power of a good magnet fishing rope! Having the right rope in your arsenal will keep your magnet secure – and will make pulling up finds easier. Your magnet fishing rope should be static with limited stretch and elasticity. This will save you energy when pulling up finds and will prevent rope breakage. Your rope should be robust and developed for intensive use on rocks and sharp underwater debris, while also being lightweight for easier casting.
When choosing a magnet fishing rope, it’s important for your rope’s break strength to be just as strong as the pull force of your fishing magnet. For example, if your single-sided magnet is 1200 lbs, then your rope’s breaking force needs to be a minimum of 1200 lbs. If you’re using a 2600 lb double-sided magnet, then you need a rope with a breaking force of at least 1300 lb. This is because each side of the double-sided magnet is 1300 lb (to equal a combined force of 2600 lb). Your rope needs to be as strong as one side of the double-sided magnet.
A Palomar Knot will secure your rope tightly to your magnet and is the preferred knot to tie for many magnet fishers.
